Sesame Noodles
Ingredients:
6 cloves Fresh Garlic - crushed
6 tbsp White Vinegar
6 tbsp Sugar
6 tbsp Soy Sauce
6 tbsp Oil
2 tsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
2 tbsp Sesame Oil
One packet Angel Hair Noodles or regular spaghetti
Boil noodles as per packet instructions. Drain and set aside in a container.
Mix all other ingredients in a small pot and boil until all the sugar is dissolved (doesn't take long at all).
Pour dressing over noodles whilst still hot and mix well.
Can garnish with toasted sesame seeds* or sliced spring onions.
Makes a lot!!! so half or make a third of the recipe if you want.
Best served room temperature.
*to toast sesame seeds, line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and spread sesame seeds on the tray. Bake on 200 for about 20 minutes or until sesame seeds are brown. Keep in an air tight container.

Oh right! thanks. So would you serve it as a salad or with the main course?
ReplyDeleteI do both - depending on what else you are serving...
ReplyDeletewhich noodles do you recommend for this?
ReplyDeleteAngel hair is best but you can't get them everywhere. I know in this end of the world only kosher kingdom have them. Second best is regular spaghetti.
