Green Beans
Ingredients:
4 tbsp Oil
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
4 tbsp Brown Sugar
1lb Frozen Green Beans
Pour beans into an oven proof dish. Mix oil, soy sauce and sugar in a bowl and pour over beans. Bake covered on 200 for 45-60 minutes. During cooking toss the sauce back over the beans. Because the beans are frozen, they will make their own juice during cooking so dont worry that there isn't so much sauce in the beginning.

I am making this with tin beans so you think I should add water then?
ReplyDeleteYeh add some water to the sauce mixture. Not too much and check during cooking how they are doing and add more if necessary (if you add
ReplyDeletemore during cooking make sure it's hot water). Tinned beans may not need as long a cooking time as frozen ones so check them earlier.
I only saw this now. It came out really tasty but a bit too dried out so now I know for next time not to leave it in for so long. Is there supposed to be any sauce left at the end?
ReplyDeleteThere is supposed to be moisture not dried out, More like the beans well coated in sauce.
