Opening a blog is way easier then opening a deli! "Fish for a man, you feed him for a meal, teach him how to fish and you feed him for life". So, I plan to give you the culinary skills I am blessed to have and you will have to cook for yourself! Many recipes are made up over the years, I also have recipes that friends have passed on and will share them with you because I have tried them and they work!
If you have a recipe that you have tried and tested and works well, please be considerate and share it with the rest of us!
If u have any comments, suggestions, complaints or any feed back (positive and negative) please email me fifthpost@gmail.com

Roast Potatoes - regular and sweet
Peel and cut potatoes. These can be in chip shape or squares or however you fancy really.
If you want to prepare potatoes in advance, put them in a container or bowl and cover in water
When you are ready to roast potatoes, lay them out in a single layer on baking trays lined with bakewell
(I normally do one tray of regular and one tray of sweet, but I didn't have many sweet potatoes in)
Drizzle oil over all potatoes. The sweet potatoes only need a sprinkle of salt, but for the regular potatoes you can season with some or all of the following: Salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder
Bake on 175 for 1 hour and then check them. They may need longer.
Et voila!
(I know the sweet pots dont look so appetising, but trust me they are delish!)
