Opening a blog is way easier then opening a deli! "Fish for a man, you feed him for a meal, teach him how to fish and you feed him for life". So, I plan to give you the culinary skills I am blessed to have and you will have to cook for yourself! Many recipes are made up over the years, I also have recipes that friends have passed on and will share them with you because I have tried them and they work!
If you have a recipe that you have tried and tested and works well, please be considerate and share it with the rest of us!
If u have any comments, suggestions, complaints or any feed back (positive and negative) please email me fifthpost@gmail.com

Ice Cream Pie
Ingredients:
Either one large pie crust or individual ones (Not the frozen ones)
Any ice cream you like (I use Swedish Glace Vanilla)
Leave the ice cream out of the freezer for a few minutes until it starts to melt. If it does not feel soft and manageable, leave for a further few minutes. If you are doing a large pie crust, one swedish glace tub is the exact amount you need. I made 11 small ones with one tub. Spoon the ice cream into the pie crust/s and swirl it around with the back of a spoon.
Freeze.
If you have made a large pie, you will need to take it out of the freezer a few minutes before serving to be able to cut it. A large pie serves 8 very generously or 12 normal slices.
When serving, you can garnish different ways. You can drizzle chocolate or strawberry sauce over the pie once plated - this has a very nice effect. You can sprinkle crushed nuts on top or grated chocolate. I did not do this because I was having kids over. I put a few strawberries on top of each one and they looked very nice.
You really couldn't get an easier dessert!!
Et Voila!
