Opening a blog is way easier then opening a deli! "Fish for a man, you feed him for a meal, teach him how to fish and you feed him for life". So, I plan to give you the culinary skills I am blessed to have and you will have to cook for yourself! Many recipes are made up over the years, I also have recipes that friends have passed on and will share them with you because I have tried them and they work!
If you have a recipe that you have tried and tested and works well, please be considerate and share it with the rest of us!
If u have any comments, suggestions, complaints or any feed back (positive and negative) please email me fifthpost@gmail.com

Couscous
Ingredients:
Packet of Israeli couscous
Spices
Oil
Rather then just making couscous the way it says on the packet, add spices - it makes it so much more interesting!
I add salt, garlic powder, paprika and pepper, but you can add any spices you like.
Put the dry couscous in a pot and a drizzle of oil (can use spray oil) and add the spices. Mix well. Fry over for a couple of minutes before adding hot water (can skip this step if you want).
Add enough hot water to cover couscous and a bit more. If you have fried it over for a couple of minutes first be careful when you add the hot water it will splatter a bit and make some noise...
Bring to the boil and turn the heat down until it is simmering and cook covered for 8 minutes stirring occasionally. Once cooking time is up, turn off heat and leave covered pot to sit for 1-2 minutes before serving.
Great served hot or room temperature it also tastes good!
Et Voila!
